Welcome to our post on designing the perfect game room! If you’re a fan of gaming, then you know how important it is to have a dedicated space where you can kick back, relax, and immerse yourself in your favorite games. And if you’re looking for some inspiration on how to create the ultimate game room, you’ve come to the right place.
We take a look at some of the most promising designs and break down how we can recreate it in our own homes. From lighting to furniture to decor, we’ll cover all the elements you need to create the perfect gaming space. So let’s dive in and get started!
What do we need to setup this game room?
Firstly, let us discuss the components we will need to bring our dream to reality. All the components we suggest are to be taken as a benchmark, you can sub them and make your design. We are suggesting these components because they have the best chance of recreating this look.
Choosing the correct PC Case for your game room
We recommend these 3 PC Cases as we have had great experiences with them. They are spacy, have great build quality, sleek finish, provide cable management facilities, give good airflow, and have ARGB headers for customizing our lighting setup.
One thing we look for most is to reduce clutter in our PC case. We prefer 2 x 200mm fans instead of 3 x 120mm fans as reducing clutter gives harmony to the lighting setup. A general rule of thumb we use is 2 colors for the main design and third color to accentuate the overall look.
Lian Li Lancool-215
The Lian Li Lancool 215 is a stylish and affordable mid-tower case designed for gamers and enthusiasts. It features a tempered glass side panel that showcases internal components and has impressive cooling capabilities with two pre-installed 200mm ARGB fans at the front and a 120mm fan at the back. Note that this 120mm fan is not ARGB supported so we will swap it out. The case has ample space for larger graphics cards and multiple storage devices, and the cable management system ensures a clean and tidy build.
Additionally, the Lancool 215 has a removable dust filter and tool-free drive installation for easy maintenance and upgrades. Overall, the Lian Li Lancool 215 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a functional, stylish, and affordable mid-tower case.

The tempered glass front and side panels provide a clear view of the internal components, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the build. Where to Buy?
All of these PC cases have something in common. They are great for customizing our build for the correct lighting effects.
One more thing we would suggest when swapping our non-rgb case fans with ARGB ones is trying to stick to the brand of your PC Case. For Example, if your PC case is from NZXT try to get a fan kit from NZXT as the software support will enhance the feel for the same. You can use different brands but you end up using different software and sometimes the colors won’t match. Trust me it can become a nightmare and you will be more frustrated if that one fan looks awkward.
Monitors
Three things are extremely essential when selecting a monitor besides their tech specs from the aesthetic point of view. It should be wall mountable, and have a very low border, and if you can then go for a borderless one, no doubt it would enhance the experience. And at least try to keep the monitor to 24″ minimum if you are using a mid-tower PC Case.
Other Components used to design this game room
For Liquid Coolers you can opt for Lian Li Galahad 240 AIO ARGB Liquid cooler if you are using a Lian Li cabinet or Cooler Master ML240R RGB as well. The main thing is to have ARGB control on the pump which we place on the processor socket. If you have a corsair branded case you can opt for Corsair iCUE H100i RGB Pro XT, the iCUE software is brilliant for RGB customization.

For motherboards, we recommend getting one with ARGB headers. You will have to go through your CPU specs to see which motherboard will support it but make sure to get extra headers. For RAM again you have to verify which kind of RAM will support your motherboard and pick accordingly the Corsair Dominator series, TeamGroup T-force extreem series, and ADATA XPG spectrix series are all great options.
We created a guide on how to choose a motherboard for your gaming PC here and RAM here.
What kind of fancy lighting do I need for this game room design? Which brands should I stick to and where to get them?
RGB LED Wall Panels
For RGB LED Wall panels we want square RGB LED Lights, we suggest Nanoleaf Canvas 9 Lights in the square package. It will be more than enough to provide ambient lighting for your game room. Each square is 15cm x 15cm and 1cm thick. It runs on your wi-fi network and you can control the lighting effects and the ambiance via the Nanoleaf app available for both android and IOS.

RGB Backlight For Your Monitor
For RGB Backlighting on your monitor, we suggest using Gesto 300 Led Smart LED Light strip. You can technically get away with using any light strip but we are recommending this because you can control the lighting effect via your mobile. Giving convenience and flexibility to change on the go.

, Logitech G633S with lightsync is great. We recommend the Corsair Void Elite RGB Wired since the wireless model is rarely available but if you can find the wireless one got for that.

you can opt for the TC100 Relaxed Gaming chair by corsair. We recommend Green Soul Beast Racing Edition . It is comfy, relaible and has great reviews on Amazon as well. Besides this it also has an ergonomic design which keeps the neck and back pain at bay during those long gaming sessions.

Corsair Gaming ST100 RGB Premium Headset Stand is the one we recommend. It syncs with your desktop lighting using iCUE as well making the whole setup stand out.
For gaming Keyboard and mouse make sure to get one that has RGB sync available in them. Don’t just get an RGB one as it will ruin the look we are trying to achieve. As special note goes to BGMUTCX RGB Headphone Stand as it provides a mobile phone holder alongside the simple RGB Stand
